I bought these shoes because I wanted a sleek and simple low-heel bootie to go with jeans, skirts, and dresses. I thought this would be more elegant than a flat chelsea style. In the end, it's a fine boot that is really quite comfortable, but it is just not stylish at all. The way the front toe curves up so far makes it look very western. The way the front of the boot extends upwards toward the calf visually cuts off the calf and just looks clunky. The boots don't look sleek on the foot, but instead end up looking really mom-ish and off. A coworker even commented that he DIDN'T like these - definitely NOT what you want to hear when you buy a new pair of shoes. I already threw sent back some items from this purchase in their box so I'm not sure if I can return these, but if I could I would.

Fit and look was good, but having to buckle the ankle strap each and every time you put it on would have been a pain. Perhaps Comfortiva should opt for a snap or velcro closure?
